Cathodic Protection can be achieved by Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) System for a solution to the CORROSION problems encountered on the underwater structures (Hull) of the ship by means of a Rectifier supplying Regulated Direct Current to Permanent Anodes in relation to the Reference Cell which proves the Current Density between - 600mV to - 850mV measured against a Silver/ Silver Chlorite (Ag / AgCI) Reference Cell or +350mV to +250mV measured against Zinc Reference Cell.

Evaluation on the condition of both Permanent Anodes and the Reference Cell can be verified electrically with reference to Hull U in the following range:

Silver/ Silver Chlorite (Ag / AgCI) Cell

- 850mV

- 950mV

Zinc(Zn) Reference Cell

+ 350mV

+ 250mV

Our Engineers have been in the service of the Catholdic Protection Systems on vessels and are able to provide these services:

  • Cathodic Protection (ICCP) Design
  • Evaluation and Analyzing Existing CP System
  • Corrosion Assessment with Coatings

Criterion for Cathodic Protection is necessary to polarize the local areas to the potential of adjacent Anodic areas.

Following informations required as to any enquiries for CATHODIC PROTECTION:

a. Type / DWT of Vessel

b. Dimension: L X B X D x d

c. Total Wetted area if available
